Lucy Moore
I’m a Master of Architecture (Professional) graduate currently based in Wellington, with a strong interest in commercial architecture alongside Māori-grounded, landscape-led design and urban environments. My recent thesis explored Kāi Tahu relationships to whenua and wai through small-scale architectural interventions along the Jacob’s River Estuary in Riverton/Aparima. I’m particularly interested in how architecture can support lived cultural and ecological relationships through experience rather than surface representation. I’m passionate about collaboration, large-scale infrastructure, and the role of women in shaping a more inclusive architectural practice.
Looking For a Mentor
I’m currently looking for job opportunities and would value a mentor who can offer guidance as I transition from university into professional practice. I’m seeking someone who is open and supportive, willing to share honest insights into office culture, project delivery, and career development within architecture. I’m particularly interested in learning more about commercial practice and urban design, while continuing to develop culturally grounded and collaborative ways of working. I value mentors who are generous with their experience and supportive of women building confident, sustainable careers in the profession.
