I am a Spatial and Interior Design Graduate currently pursuing a Masters in Architecture (Professional) at the University of Auckland. I am interested in upholding cultural identity, engaging in environmental sensitivity, and have a passion for storytelling through spatial narratives (speculative design). My work is informed by people, place, and space with a strong focus on materiality, atmosphere, & humancentric experiences.
Beyond architecture and design, I enjoy reading novels (Flowers for Algernon is a favourite), learning new languages, painting Tezhip, and experimenting with ink pen drawings and photography, some of which you can find on my instagram @studiio.miish

Looking For a Mentor
I am looking for a mentor with a similar background as me to help guide me on my journey within the architecture/interior design field. I'm looking for practical advice on job seeking, how to communicate effectively, and general advice on how to better myself to meet industry standard.
Showcase
The Comic Forge
The brief, Comic Gutter, asked to explore the fabrication of fictional worlds through the design of a retail store for comics, manga, and graphic novels. I was to bridge the connection between 2D and 3D storytelling and draw inspiration from historic and contemporary sequential art forms. The success of this project was recognised when I was handed the Artichoke Award for outstanding interior design at the AD24 Graduate Design Exhibition and became a Best Award Finalist in 2025.
The Comic Forge reflects on the transition between eras and explores the liminal space between past and present. It is inspired by the speculative steampunk aesthetic—an alternate Victorian era marked by retro futuristic steam-powered technology. Like a comic book’s sequential storytelling, the design guides users through an immersive narrative, blending historical and speculative elements. The Comic Forge emphasizes the preservation of stories, inviting participants to experience history as a living, imaginative continuum. The illustrations made in this factory don’t just show stories; they bring them to life.
