I am of Samoan (Faleasiu, Vailoa, Sapapali'i) and German background and a current doctoral candidate in Architecture, a part of the MĀPIHI - Māori and Pacific Housing Research Centre at Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland. My research focuses on the contribution Samoan women have within their leadership roles in creating culturally adaptable spaces for their families here in Aotearoa. The study explores the current perspectives of Samoan women and their viewpoints on transformative housing.
I am also a Research Assistant for Fofonga - A Pacific Research platform that works towards partnering and nurturing Pacific academics within the University.
