DIVERSE PRACTICE: Symposium
A conversation on Diverse Practice as part of the series, in association with Architecture+Women NZ.
For the symposium five speakers were invited respond and talk to specific questions from the survey about diverse practice. This is from a student perspective - through to established practitioners – which speaks more directly to the challenges of practice experienced by women. The session will be concluded by a panel discussion chaired by Justine Clark.
When: Tuesday 8 October, 7pm (preceded by the exhibition opening, which begins at 6pm)
Where: LT1, Faculty of Architecture and Design, 139 Vivian Street, Wellington
5.30-6.00 pm - Exhibition Opening at VUW school of architecture
Celebration with drinks and nibbles
6.00 -8.00pm - Conversation on Diverse Practice
- If you could share one insight about architecture with a female graduate entering the profession what would it be?
- What do you think the future of architectural practice is/should be?
- What do you think women bring to the profession?
Reflecting on these questions, four Wellington woman architects that represent three generations will share their thoughts and work, followed by a panel discussion chaired by Justine Clark.
